This page is mostly musings and things I’m passionate about. Read for your own pleasure and to see if I would be a good fit for your projects.
Yoga
Yoga has changed my life in so many ways. I did my first 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2021 and then did over 700 hours of advanced trainings and continuing education in the next three years. Practicing and teaching yoga helps me stay more stable (physically, mentally, and financially). I don’t know how I would have gotten through the hard times without yoga. The yoga community has also helped me in many ways outside of yoga to which I am very grateful.

Buddhism
Buddhism is very important to me even though I never wanted – and still don’t want – to be a Buddhist. It helps me be a happier and better person which is why I practice. The first time I had a friend mention that I was Buddhist to another person I was taken aback. I didn’t realize how much I had gone into Buddhism. It took a while for me to accept that I’m a Buddhist. I highly recommend trying meditation to anyone who has a mind and wants to learn more about it.
Queer
The LGBTQ+ community is very important to me. I am asexual and don’t follow gender norms very well. I was assigned male at birth and I decided to skip that assignment and hope I can still graduate without it. I advocate that people should be able to love and express themselves however is best for them. Queer people have always been around and will never be erased.

Hiking and Camping
Mother Earth is my one true love. Especially as a counterbalance to staring at a screen all day for work, I crave the outdoors. I enjoy hiking small and big, both alone and in groups, in all seasons. There’s no such thing as bad weather, just unprepared clothing and equipment. I’m most consistent at hiking Mount Timpanogos at least once a year. More recently I’ve fallen in love with overnight backpacking since it forces me to slow down and stop.
