Moonbeam Yoga is a place for discovering more about yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually. Sometimes yoga is just about the physical body, and that’s fun too, but here under the moon we focus on mind, body, and spirit. Yoga lets us combine all three of those at once.
Our philosophy is rooted in Svādhyāya which means study of self. Your best teacher will always be yourself. The role of other teachers is to help you listen more closely to your best teacher. Yoga poses don’t just teach us about our physical bodies, but our mind and spirit as well. Meditations let us dive deep into the Svādhyāya that helps us become more authentic to who we really are.
The Moon symbolizes many things including darkness, uncertainty, intuition, the unconscious, and illusion. A Moonbeam is the light coming from the darkness. An insight in the ocean of the unconscious. Here at Moonbeam Yoga we cherish these flickers of mysterious light. These Moonbeams help us see deeper into parts of ourselves we don’t always appreciate.
