Yin on Fire is a 4 day & 3 night outdoor retreat. The focus of the retreat is health, wellness, and community. It’s been dubbed the ‘Soul Family Reunion’ since people feel as close as family despite meeting for the first time. I enjoy working with projects creating positive impacts in people’s lives.
I was not originally asked to take photos here. I had worked on the marketing team leading up to the event. I brought my camera (since I bring it everywhere), but I had privacy concerns about being a random participant taking photos. I asked the director if I could be a festival photographer and she told me they had two photographers not come for various reasons and they were desperate for more photographers. So I got my first gig as a festival photographer 😁
